Be wildly curious

‘Be wildly curious’ was the advice from our special guest Dame Mary Marsh. Her talk at our recent networking event was both inspiring and informative – motivating us to open up our lives to as many options and choices as possible. 

We listened as she talked through her career journey from her early roles as a secondary school headteacher, to becoming CEO of the NSPCC. She likened careers to pyramids - with the base being a broad network of people. She lives her life with a restless search for improvement and described herself as being a boundary hopper. She encouraged us to have the courage to switch industries or paths as she has done but that you can do it in a carefully considered way and set yourself up for success.
