In our work at LAYC, in our conversations with women, through research and data, we have come to understand the critical importance of women being mentored. Not only does it help women to gain greater confidence in achieving their short or long-term career aspirations, it also serves to improve self-awareness and personal development.
For a myriad of reasons, many women do not have access to a pool of mentors and LAYC felt compelled to do something about this. Which is why we created ‘Rise’.
Rise is a software platform with humans behind it. Enabling women to become LAYC mentors and/or to register to be mentored.
It aims to help women of all ages, industries and backgrounds to find wisdom and give wisdom.
Our matching process brings together mentors and mentees whose interests and passions align, to maximise the success of the mentoring relationship. Joining Rise will also give you access to regularly posted insights and thought leadership, produced with the added expertise of our excellent founders, advisory board and coaches on topics such as how to grow as a leader, entrepreneurship and failure, and navigating career changes.
